How to spot hail damage from the ground
Look at the soft metals first: dents on gutters, downspouts, AC fins and the roof vents. Check the driveway and gutter outlets for heavy granule wash. Dark, round spots on shingles seen from a ladder are a good sign the mat was bruised. If the neighbours have crews up, get a documented inspection before you file.
The claim process, step by step

- 2If there is storm damage, you file with your carrier.
- 3The carrier's adjuster inspects. You can ask us to be there to point out what we documented.
- 4You receive the carrier's scope of work.
- 5We build to that scope and supply completion photos for your file.

Should I call my insurer or a roofer first?
Get a documented inspection first so you know whether there is damage worth claiming. Filing for nothing can still show on your record.
Do you charge for storm inspections?
No. Storm inspections are free.
Will you deal with my insurance company?
We will meet the adjuster and share our photos. We do not negotiate your claim or act as a public adjuster.
How long do I have to file?
It depends on your policy. Many Texas policies set a window from the date of the storm, so check yours soon after an event.
